Letter of Intent

                                        Campaign 300

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”

Campaign 300 is a non-profit faith based organization created to meet the needs of individuals and families in the Livingston and surrounding areas. We endeavour to keep the unity of the spirit through the bond of peace by aligning ourselves one with another to serve the community through unfeigned love and compassion. Our goal is not only to assist those with emergency needs, but to exercise the body of this organizations members unto excellence and good works through edification, exhortation and encouragement.

Campaign 300 is a two fold ministry geared toward building lasting relationships, in the biblical sense that we are part of  an invisible body of Christ whose end product is to perfect the saints, work the ministry and edify the body. We believe that we are all gifted with individual skills and talents that are useful to the work of the ministry that are meant to be used together to accomplish a common purpose. “From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”

It is our goal to not only say, but to put this precept into action. It is also our belief that we should bear one another’s burdens and when we do we can accomplish true charity in the community. We therefore believe that by living out these precepts there is no burden too great for any individual or assembly. This program is not limited to any denomination/group.
The only exception to this is that the call goes out only to professing Christians since the order of the campaign comes from biblical principals. For this reason we believe that this exhortation should not be put on unbelievers. However, through the outreach of the campaign we hope to reach unbelievers by ministering the love of Christ.

Now for the mechanics of it, there is simple math involved. If we can assemble a group of 1500 members (but not limited to) who are willing to sacrifice $1 a week then we can assist families or individuals on a weekly basis with needs not met by other ministries in the area. These needs can be pertaining to rent reduction for a 6 month period, transportation needs, help with medical needs, contributions to local ministries that educate and equip, or any type of urgent necessity. This is not an all inclusive list. Any way that we can be of benefit to the community is open for suggestion.

How do we decide who to help? Campaign 300 is designed as an advocacy type program in the sense that there is no application process but that a beneficiary is recommended by a member of the campaign and all recommendations are placed in a sealed envelope stating the need with no indication of name or any personal information to eliminate bias or favoritism.  There is then a vote each week to determine the beneficiary(ies) for the week by a rotating committee so there is a shared responsibility.

         Accountability
All business with Campaign 300 will be transparent and can be viewed at any time on the website. There will be someone who is experienced with bookkeeping and accounting to keep up with this task. Hopefully this will be done by a volunteer, however, since this is the most time dedicated task in the whole organization this may have to offer a small compensation for time involved. All final decisions will be made by a vote of either the board of directors or an appointed committee.

Membership

Members will be comprised of active donors to the campaign. Donations can be made in monthly, quarterly or yearly contributions; hence membership will continue accordingly. Members can be as active or inactive in the operations as one desires. This is not an exclusive club and everyone’s input is appreciated and respected.

We realize that we cannot solve every problem that arises, but we firmly believe that by making an effort, we make a difference. We believe that any and all growth starts at the ground level and until a seed is planted, nothing will grow. It is our desire and ambition to impact the families around us through compassion, thus impacting the community and benefiting all who see or hear of these efforts.

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
